Join us in Sicily - the Mediterranean's largest island, just off the toe of Italy's "boot." Your discovery of this fascinating island rich in culture, warm welcomes, and beauty starts in Palermo, a vibrant city of churches, squares, marketplaces, and palazzos of every style. From there, explore medieval towns, ancient temples, charming coastal village, world-famous wine, and the majestic Mount Etna. All tours are guided and include free time in each location for you to stroll at your own pace. We'll end our Sicilian adventure back in Palermo where you can decide to travel home, or extend your Mediterranean adventure on to Malta.

Malta - extension

We will fly into Malta with time to relax and unwind before our 3-day guided tour begins on Monday, October 18. The tour begins in Valetta where will explore the Formal Gardens, St. George's Square, tour the Grand Master's Palace grounds and other historic landmarks. We'll also explore Mdina, Dingli Cliffs and enjoy a 3-course lunch with wine. Our last day of touring includes The Three Cities and a harbour tour by boat.

Our accommodation for the 4-night stay will be based in Sliema, a beautiful waterfront base overlooking historic Valletta, perfectly positioned for exploring the island while giving you restaurants, cafés, shopping and Mediterranean views right outside your hotel. The trip will finish on Thursday, October 21 where you will return home from Malta (or continue your travels independently). Note: Delta offers direct travel from Malta to JFK airport three days per week.
